Dave Jansen, while employed by Clearsite, build the online version of a product presentation CD-ROM.

Since the design had to remain the same, Dave designed a login screen to match the styles. For functionality, Dave added a rich control library based on Javascript, which allows the user to move through the presentation with ease, and all from the keyboard. A slideshow feature was also added, which hides all menu options when started. Detailed descriptions on how to use each keyboard shortcut are also present in the presentation.

The presentation had to be used by four separate companies. Each company has their own login information, and each company is able to add users that have access to the presentation. The presentation had to be hosted on one location only, but this should not be visible from the address bar. For this Dave created a small script which acts as a portal, accessing the actual presentation while keeping all links as if it was a fully self-hosted project.

Realization

Apart from the Clearsite design and the client-provided content, Dave did all the work on building this custom website.

The presentation is live, but it’s not available to the public.
